Dollar Store Dresses With Possibilities...

I visited the dollar store tonight, and saw 2 dresses on the dollar dolls that I thought might be cool. I think if I redo the straps, they might be worked into something awesome :)

Pizazz grudgingly accepted the modeling job...

This one is black with silver foil stripes. I think with the straps done differently it could be pretty awesome.

This one I like, perhaps it would be better on Roxy (I don't have a Roxy doll yet, though.)

This one is from Barbie's wardrobe. Pizazz is ready to change back into her original outfit, so she must not like it...

"Yes, my favorite outfit! Get those rags outta here, THIS is what I'M wearin!!"

Monster High Mega Haul

I hit the Monster High doll jackpot this week at the thrift store. I found twenty two Monster High dolls as well as a Ken, a Barbie Basics that I love, and a Ken with the Harley davidson body,. I couldn't believe it, I kept finding Monster High girls and I was just blown away. Most are either like-new/just out of box or in lightly played with condition. It was probably a once-in-a-lifetime stroke of luck. I was able to get them all thanks to my BFF who lent me the money (I don't usually spend much at the thrift store). The Ken with the articulated body is a Peeta, I think, that needs a new face.

I don't have any experience with painting new faces on dolls, so this will be my practice head :) I will use the body for another Ken head.

Customized Reroot of Belle From "Beauty and the Beast"

I have a very good friend that is great at rerooting the hair of dolls. I have sent her several and love all of her work. Whether it is fixing a bald spot, adding in a dash of color, or a complete reroot, she can do it all. Today I am featuring one of her reroots I had her do... Belle from Beauty And The Beast. I just adore her now!

She looks fantastic under the black lights, too!

Vintage Titian Swirl Barbie In Vintage Barbie Let's Dance Outfit

I'm completely blown away at the gift I recieved yesterday: this gorgeous vintage titian Swirl, complete with vintage Let's Dance dress! I love her to bits and bits and bits!

She is my first Swirl girl, and one of my absolute favorites out of my entire collection. My friend also gave me another dolly surprise, one that I will share when it arrives... and I won't tell you about it until it gets here! :D

The 1963 Vintage Shortie Ken

Today I recieved in the mail my first Vintage Ken. He came with jacket and doctor/surgeon outfit (missing hat and shoes). I won him on ebay for 6 dollars and change (plus shipping). I found out (via www.fashion-doll-guide.com) that he is the 1963 "Shortie Ken". "In 1963 there was a version released that is 1/4" shorter than all of the other Ken Dolls."
I got his clothes much cleaner, and the dr. outfit almost pristine white. I plan on doing another short dip in bleach water in the future, there's still a bit of dinginess, mostly on the pants. The jacket's zipper is still functional.

Rochelle Goyle - Scaris, City of Frights

This entry features my new Rochelle Goyle Monster High doll, from the Scaris City of Frights release. I have quite a few Monster High dolls, but this is my very first one that I bought brand new in its box. (I have a few that came to me new but not in the box, such as ones I've bought online, the doll out of the box costs less to ship than in the box.) She was at Ross when my best friend and I went there, and I decided to bring her home. She cost $9.99 plus tax. She's very pretty, I love Paris-themed things, pink things, and Monster High, so I was destined to like her. I don't think there's anything particularly 'special' about her, as far as being a collector's item or anything like that, but she's worthy of her own entry anyway. Enjoy!
