Her hair was horrid. It had been butchered and what was left was just a mess. Her foot had been chewed on and the plastic was peeling.
Some time ago, I bought 2 Princess Tiana dolls from the Disney Store. They were on sale, so I bought an extra one. It turns out that the body matches Christie's skin tone. I removed the hair from the Christie head, which I will re-root myself.
I put Christie's head on Tiana's body, and I am very happy with the results. I look forward to doing her hair.
I've recently put 2 other 1980's Barbie heads on newer Fashionista Barbie bodies. I love the outcome.
I'll keep you updated with my progress with the hair rerooting!
I can't wait to see your Christie when she is completed with new hair. I'm sure she will look great. I too enjoy putting different Barbie, etc. heads on the Fashionista bodies. Articulation is so much fun.

I will definitely post Christie's new look when she gets her hair done :) It might be a couple of months, though... She'll get her own post here when she's ready!
